John Kevin McMahon, 74, passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2018.He was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 17, 1943, the son of the late Henry and Irene McMahon. He obtained his Master's Degree from Purdue University. John was a member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, Society of Manufacturing Engineering, Knights of Columbus Council 451, St. Vincent De Paul Society, Arlington Park Senor Golf League, Allen County Right to Life, and served as a Eucharistic Minister for 40 years. John retired from International Harvester in 1983 as the Manager of Manufacturing. He then worked at Zollner Corporation and Trans-Guard Industries. His family was his whole life, and he was always exceptionally proud of his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Anita L. McMahon; children, Susan (James) Brown, Michael (Ruth) McMahon, Jennifer (John) Brose, and Molly Tippmann; grandsons, Jack, Nicholas, Alex, Eric, Joseph, Ethan, and Nathan; granddaughters, Monica, Hannah, Livia, Lucy and Ella; sisters, Mary (James) Griffiths, and Kathy (Charles) Birtwhistle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46835 with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Friday, October 5, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46825. Rosary service will be held at 6 pm on Friday, October 5, 2018. Burial will take place in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Right to Life and Women's Care Center.
