Robert "Bob" V. Pelkington, Sr., 74, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 in Fort Wayne. Born in Akron, OH, Bob attended St. Jude Elementary School, graduated from Central Catholic High School, and later attended Xavier University for 4 years. While at Xavier, he played basketball and still holds several records, but would never want anyone to know. Bob was the owner and operator of Pelkington & Sons, Inc, a concrete business that his sons now operate. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Bob always enjoyed being around water with his family. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Camilla Pelkington of Huntertown, IN; his children, Robert (Kim) Pelkington, Jr. of Fort Wayne; Christopher (Molly) Pelkington of Fort Wayne; Timothy (Lysa) Pelkington of Fort Wayne; Jeffrey Pelkington of Orland, IN; Debra Butler of Fort Wayne; Kimberly (John) Tippmann of Fort Wayne; Suzanne (Tom) Tippmann of Fort Wayne; Tonya (Jeff) Linton of Lebanon, IN; 44 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elsie Pelkington; and his brothers, John "Jay" Pelkington; and Patrick Pelkington. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, on Friday, February 5, 2016 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr., with calling 1hr prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Rd on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 8:00 pm. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the St Jude Children's Hospital or FamilyTreeFoundation.org for St. Jude Catholic School of Fort Wayne.
